With an insatiable curiosity about people — what connects us, what impacts us, and what the future holds for us — I’m Helen Todd, the first resident in Cincinnati, OH, to digitally clone myself.
I’m an award-winning marketer, international speaker, and also an advisor and speaker for SXSW Interactive. I graduated from Xavier University and hold a Master’s degree in Integrated Marketing Communication from Emerson College.
In 2010 in New York City, I co-founded one of the first social media agencies, Sociality Squared, when social media was just emerging to help brands like Leica Camera, Symrise, and Fitbit grow their businesses and make a positive impact on culture.
I was at the forefront of a disruptive technology then, and now am leading the way yet again with Creativity Squared, a free weekly newsletter, podcast, and YouTube channel exploring how creatives are collaborating with artificial intelligence. My new platform fosters critical discussions around A.I., including the future of ethical synthetic media like my digital avatar Helen 2.ODD (https://bit.ly/ep14Helen2ODD).
Guests have included the head of Adobe's Content Authenticity Initiative, the founder of Stability AI's Harmonai, the 2023 SXSW XR Winner, and the head of programming of SXSW.
Creativity Squared ignites our collective imagination at the intersection of A.I. and creativity to envision a world where artists not only coexist with A.I., but thrive.
I also co-host the largest A.I. meetup in Cincinnati, the CincyAI Meetup for Humans, and am a member of Adobe’s Content Authenticity Initiative alongside brands like Leica Camera, The New York Times, BBC, and more. The coalition’s important mission is to help combat the threat of misinformation and help creators get credit for their work.
I’m also a proud small business owner and alumni of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program dedicated to helping entrepreneurs grow their businesses and create jobs in their communities.
I’m also a member of Chief, a network dedicated to supporting senior executive women and founders in their leadership journeys.
Because it’s important to support artists, 10% of all revenue Creativity Squared generates goes to ArtsWave, a nationally recognized non-profit that funds over 150 arts organizations, projects, and independent artists. Our partnership with ArtsWave supports their Black and Brown Artist Program elevating underrepresented voices and bridging cultural divides through art.
